The artist explains: 'In Eve Reimagined, the image of woman is inspired by my daughter. I see her in paradise, owning the apple and relaxing with a cat - as if the whole 'thrown out of paradise' story never even happened.'

Jelila continues: 'I've explored themes around the perceived 'loss of paradise', and also simply the enjoyment of a beautiful fertile land - ie Eden - and of the couple's free-seeming relationship in that place - in these paintings. These themes are also deep themes of my planetary healing work.'
