The artist explains: 'This fairly large painting, Marriage, is about a relationship, the journey or river that runs through the painting. You'll see that I end up on the right side, in another place, from the one I was loving, who is on the left. I do love this painting though, it captures a beautiful moment, even though my lover is left behind and you see me going off to Bali on the right side of the painting, with its frangipanis and Balinese offering plates!'
