Purity of Woman, (ref. 1113), oil painting by Jelila, 36" x 16" approx, oil on canvas, from her series of 8 paintings of the same size and shape, created for Zero2Expo, a prestigious exhibition that she is represented in, in the UK which aims to raise awareness and campaign for happy safe birth and life for mothers and babies.

The artist explains: 'In Purity of Woman, woman is re-imagined as innocent. The snake and apple story is reversed and she is seen as a pure chalice, uncontaminated, being viewed by the eye of consciousness. Consciousness also regains its innocence - having overcome its judgement of what happened.
